Are you Ready t o Buy a Fuel Efficient Car?

In June, 2008 Consumer Report came up with 9 fuel efficient cars.
They took the price paid for the car and combined it with the fuel rating. Only cars with excellent owner cost ratios for the first 5 years made the list.

The cars listed below are extremely efficient with the Honda Fit Sport manual transmission rated as the most efficient according to the Consumer report criteria.

1. Honda Fit Sport Manual Transmission

2. Honda Fit Base Model

3. Toyota Prius Base Model

4. Mazda 3 Manual Transmission

5. Toyota Prius Touring Edition

6. Nissan Versa

7. Honda Civic Hybrid

8. Honda Civic Manual Transmission

9. Hyundai Elantra

With the soaring cost of fuel it makes sense the buy a car that is as fuel efficient as possible. Not only are you greening your wallet but you are also greening the environment. If we can reduce the damaging chemical such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and lead and volatile compounds from the environment we will all be better off.
